Description:

Despite having never come out with a full album, The Snuts have been successful with releasing singles and EPs that are instant hits. Juan Belmonte is no different from this chain of music the band continues to produce.

The beginning of the song introduces itself with a catchy hook that sets itself up well for the rest of the song. This perhaps was the best part of the single. It starts with a white noise that sounds like it is coming from an old phonograph, followed by its main beat that plays in the background throughout most of the song.

This song is not caught up with the lyrics. Instead the Snuts channel their focus into the actual sound of the song. There is a good mix of sounds from the song, for example: bits of fuzz, a tambourine, a bass part that is not just used in the background. The Snuts do not underutilize what they have when it comes to instrumentation, and take full advantage of everything they can. Very few bands are capable of possessing this quality without making their songs sound like a lot of noise with no real substance. However, the Snuts are able to use everything to its fullest potential.

Sounds Like: The Heavy, The Strokes, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Jungle
