Description:
Big Thief’s new release of 5 songs scratches all those indie / folky nooks and crannies of your music brain. I enjoyed the full 22-minute experience of listening to all of these songs in order. The first song “Time Escaping” is a sort of trippy song, more indie, Mild High Club vibes, but I enjoyed it. The next song, “Change” is the slower, folk vibe, kind of a classic Big Thief moment, i.e their biggest hit song “Paul”. The next song, “Certainly” also hits that folk moment, but more of a mid beat, rather than super slow. The next one, “Little Things” gets more much faster tempo, and sort of reminds me of a Snail Mail type beat. They then finish it off with “Sparrow”, a slow, sad very folk song. Overall I felt like these 5 songs flowed very well together and I didn’t dislike any of them! 10/10 would recommend.
