Album: MAYHEM
Artist: Lady Gaga
Genre: #Pop #ElectroPop
Sub-Genres: #Disco #Rock #Industrial
Label: Interscope Records
Non-Airable Tracks: Killah (feat. Gesaffelstein), How Bad Do U Want Me
Lady Gaga has been a cultural icon since she stepped onto the scene with 2008's The Fame, a revolutionary and groundbreaking album -- rich in themes of love, sex, and celebrity. MAYHEM, Gaga's sixth solo studio album, marks a clear return to her dance-pop origins and roots in the club scene, reflecting similar themes. This album ranges in genres and highlights Gaga's musical growth, offering something to every type of listener -- from club beats to a timeless ballad in the Grammy-winning duet, "Die With A Smile (feat. Bruno Mars)," which now boasts up to 2 billion streams. Lady Gaga is simply an undeniable force of nature. So proud of her for winning the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award: 17 years in the making for the woman who carries pop culture on her back!

Album: Ruby
Artist: JENNIE
Sub-Genres: #KPop #Singersongwriter
Label: Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment
Non-Airable Tracks: like JENNIE, start a war, Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa), with the IE (way up), ExtraL (feat. Doechii), Mantra, Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike), ZEN, Damn Right (feat. Childish Gambino & Kali Uchis), F.T.S., Filter, Starlight
OMG, this album is so good!!! Genuinely mindblown at the moment, so bear with me as I type this up. Queen JENNIE has done it again! Well, technically for the first time. JENNIE, aka Jennie Ruby Jane, is on her own now that each member of BLACKPINK has launched a solo career. Ruby is JENNIE's solo debut album, and she came out the gates swinging. Catchy vocals, nostalgic beats, and memorable melodies are off the charts, cementing this album as a knockout. This album might be one of my "no skips" albums, crossing genres and stealing hearts. Features on the album like Dua Lipa, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Kali Uchis, and Childish Gambino - as well as a throwback JLo sample - make Ruby a strong contender for album of the year, and one of my favorite pop albums ever released. Wanna boost your confidence and listen to feelgood pop? JENNIE should be on your radar :)

Lalisa Manobal, Thai legend, the woman that you are! Alter Ego is another amazing candidate for album of the year. Recession pop is back and LISA is their champion. Whether you're driving, pre-gaming, or hitting the gym, LISA has a song for you! She sees you. She's been that girl, is that girl, and will continue to be that girl. Trust. The album has already received over a billion cumulative streams, and I love to see her shining with this incredible solo debut (and apparently is starring in White Lotus???) From gospel chic to trap to girly bedroom pop, her genre blending on this album is masterful. She is unapologetically herself, and there is nothing more admirable than that. What's more, Alter Ego's epic features - like Megan Thee Stallion (her third KPop crossover), Doja Cat, RAYE, and Tyla - make this album unforgettable and universally accessible. Quite possibly the next album in your rotation this spring! I cannot wait to see what queen does next ★
I LOVE LISA!

Album: So Close To What
Artist: Tate McRae
Sub-Genres: #R&B #BedroomPop
Label: RCA Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment
Non-Airable Tracks: Miss possessive, Revolving door, bloodonmyhands (feat. Flo Milli), Signs, I know love (feat. The Kid LAROI), Like I do, It's ok I'm ok, Means I care, Greenlight, 2 hands, Nostalgia
To be completely honest, I wasn't the biggest Tate McRae person before I listened to this album. But I am a believer and a convert. McRae is so musically talented, spanning genres while maintaining intrigue and appeal with her husky voice and incredible dancing. She is a true performer. After all, her background is in dance! A powerhouse of pop, McRae grabbed attention with 2023's "Greedy," but has been on the scene for nearly a decade. Now, she delivers a refreshing and fierce album that deserves the world's attention as she begins her Miss Possessive tour this fall. So many bangers on this album, it's not even funny!!! Also, I think it's really sweet that she and The Kid Laroi, her boyfriend of one year, recorded a song together for the album. Flo Milli's feature was one of my favorite elements of the album, as her voice and verse complimented McRae's style well. Such a good collab! I literally cannot stop raving about this album.
