Electric Feels Party: The Gateway to an Indie Lover's Heart

Show Lineup: DJs apart of the show

Venue: The Rialto Theatre

Date: March 17, 2023

The Electric Feels Party included a mixture of music from well-known indie and pop artists in order to create a lively environment no one could forget. It was easily one of the best experiences I've had with my friend group, and everyone loved it even if they don't listen to indie music. The DJs behind it all kept the energy in the crowd up the entire time, and perfected the balance between party songs with lesser-known indie rock ones. The variety of music genres made it so there was something for everyone, leaving no one to feel left out for their music taste.

As someone who loves attending music events, this was a pleasantly new experience for me. It wasn't necessarily a rave crowd (according to my friend), but rather one you would find at a festival. Everyone went with the flow, they were happy to be there, and they appreciated those around them in the moment. The bright, flashing lights gave it the DJ aspect, and made it so even if there was a song you didn't know you still had an amazing time.

All in all, my friends and I came to the consensus that this party was the best $20 we had ever spent. We got to meet the DJs when they ran through the crowd, hyping people up and getting them to sing along. We also formed stronger bonds with one another when a song played that we all knew, belting the words and sweating out all our love. On the other hand, it was entertaining to watch half my group who liked indie music (myself included) get excited when an indie song played, then trying to encourage the other half to get into it just as much as us. Needless to say, the next time Electric Feels stops in Tucson, I will definitely buy another ticket and get even more friends to go with me.
