Anemone’s Beat My Distance has a very light touch throughout the songs. “On Your Own” is a light, merry-go-round kind of song and “Daffodils” is light as well yet more hypnotic. “Sunshine (Back to the Start)” sounds more dramatic than the other songs of the album, and should be listened to walking along the beach with shoes off and alone. “She’s the One” and “Segue” is a very peaceful, meditative song. I really like the beginning for “Only You” as it has a very nostalgic beat, perfect for having it as the last song of the album I recommend “Memory Lane,” “Vanilla (Here We Go Again),” and “Endless Dive!”
