This is Lillian, Marketing Director for KAMP Student Radio. Me and Trey, Alternative Music Director, experienced quite a few trials & tribulations over the weekend of December 3rd and 4th. Neither of us expected the rain and the mud, nor the fact that we lost half of the footage of our vlog and almost corrupted all of our photos. Luckily, through thick and thin, Zona Fest provided great accommodations to us by providing access to their VIP sections, including outdoor heaters and private restrooms. For both days of the festival, Trey and I were running on Monster Energy drinks, constantly bouncing between all four stages to capture the memories of our fun weekend. My favorite memory is when I took photos of The Garden and then ran back into the crowd so that I could mosh. Looking back at Zona Fest, I am grateful that this was my first shot at press for KAMP, as I have learned so much from this experience. Thanks Trey for putting up with me for two whole days!

The first ever Zona Music Festival was an astounding success! Despite the rain, mud, and general low levels of crowd energy that came along with the weather, the festival staff and workers were quick to accommodate us with shelter from the storm, as well as various additives that made KAMP's press experience extremely worthwhile. The complementary Monster energy drinks kept us warm and on our feet as we trudged through the muddy and sticky ground of Hance Park. We caught some amazing live performances, my favorites being Jeff Rosenstock and Bleachers (which was quite the shock to me, personally). We are truly grateful for this amazing opportunity that Zona Fest gave us, and hopefully KAMP will be able to return to this wonderful festival in the future!
