Description: Listening to this album felt like walking into an old 80s dance venue but not in a great way. Something about the music on this album is a little off. I didn’t feel like the sound lived up to the potential that I wanted it to. Every song seemed to drone on and felt like the record player was stuck. I didn’t find any musical variety throughout, and ended up having to skip to the following song in the middle of other songs, just to see if there were any songs I would enjoy. I feel like indie-pop is something that isn’t too difficult to mess up, but I think Art d’Ecco did, because it tried to sound too much like other artists instead of creating innovative, artistic music (I get David Bowie-wannabe vibes from most of the songs on this album). Overall, the music isn’t horrible, but it isn’t something that I would turn to again and again.
